KINGMAN – Earl Blankenbeckler, 71, a retired timber employe, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in his home on Rt. 2, Kingman. He was a member of Old Christian Church. He was born Sept. 22, 1904, in Kentucky, a son of Linzy and Anna Johnson Blankenbeckler. He was married in 1927 to Gladys Lambert, who survives. Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Howard (Irene) Sadler of Rockville, Mrs. Wayne (Dorothy) Slaugher of Morehead, Ky., Mrs. Robert (Pauline) Arnold of Romulus, Mich., Mrs. Rita Goodman of Bloomingdale and Mrs. Roy Paul (Marie) Carr of rural Kingman; five sons, Eugene and Jim of Kingman, Ranzel and Bill of Pontiac, Ill., and Donald of Tangier; a sister, Mrs. Maggie Benion of West Virginia; 49 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Woodrow Funeral Home with the Rev. Zora Trent officiating. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 7-9 ; today.
