Covington, Ind, Nov 2 – Oliver D. Blakely, 86 years old, Civil War Veteran died at his home here yesterday after a protracted illness. He volunteered while yet in his teens and served throughout the war, being one of the youngest enlisted men from Indiana. He was a mechanic and farmer in early life, also practicing as Pension Attorney for many years. His wife died several years ago. Three daughters survive: Mrs. Clinton Crim of West Frankfort, Ill; Mrs. ER Lowe of Washington and Mrs. James Neal of Covington.

Letters of administration on estate of Oliver D. Blakley, deceased Covington resident have been issued by the local court to Nellie Neal, bond being required in the amount of $1,000. The estate consists most of real estate in the city. Heirs are the three daughters, Mrs. Neal, Covington; Mrs. Clinton Crim, West Frankfort and Mrs. Roscoe Lowe, Washington DC and a grandson, John LaTourette, San Diego, Calif.
