BLACKWELL, Catherine Smith - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Catherine Blackwell of Attica, age 57, died Sunday night, July 3, in Presbyterian Hospital at Dallas, Texas. She was born in Attica, October 5, 1925, the daughter of Fred and Grace Luse Smith. She first married Ted Hacker, who preceded her in death. In 1961, she married Willis L. Blackwell, who died in 1977. A graduate of Attica High School, she had been an accountant at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis for several years. She attended Attica Christian Church.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mary Williams of Garland, Texas; three sons, Jerry Hacker of Indianapolis, Charles Hacker of Crawfordsville and Ted Hacker of Englewood, Ohio; her mother of Veedersburg; three brothers, Harold Smith of Kramer, William E. Smith of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Robert L. Smith of Orlando, Florida; and 11 grandchildren.

  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. James Boudouris officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery at Greencastle. Fiends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. today (Thursday).  – thanks so much to S
