BLACKETER, Charles Edward - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Covington - Charles Edward Blacketer, age 48, of Williamsport, Rt 2, died at 1 a.m. Saturday Oct 19, at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Danville, IL. He had been a patient for 3 days and ill several months. He was born in Veedersburg Jan 8, 1920 the son of Courtney & Edna S. Weber Blacketer of Covington. He was married to Kathleen Newton, who survives. He was a former resident of Covington and he had been employed at the Danville VA prior to his retirement in May of this year. Surviving, ina dditionto his wife,are his parents of Covington; one daughter, Mrs. Darla Stultz of Albany; two sons, Stanley & Barney, both at home; 4 sisters, Mrs. Earl (Josephine) Galloway of Veedesburg, Mrs. Marie Dobbs of Veedersburg; Mrs. Vivian McDaniel of Attica and Mrs. Maralee Benedict of West Lebanon; one brother, Curtney Jr of West Lebanon and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by two siters. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hegg Funeral Home, Covington. The Rev. Grover Williams officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
