Augusta Spencer Black, 79, died Monday morning, April 28 1958, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kellogg Marvin in Odessa, Texas. She was a resident of Wewoka, Okla. for many years and went to her daughter's home the first of February. Mrs. Black was born in Harveysburg, the daughter of Charles M. and Sylvania Spencer. She was married to Wesley Black and they resided in Kingman for a few years before moving to Wewoka. Mrs. Black was a member of the first graduating class of Kingman High School in 1898. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Christian Church. Survivors include a son, Spencer Black of Dallas Tex., and two daughters, Mrs. Howard Bell of Pebble Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Marvin, at whose home she died; and nine grandchildren. Mrs. Geraldine Moore of Kingman is a niece. Mrs. Black was a sister of the late Gilbert W. Spencer. Funeral services and burial were in Wewoka.
