BIXLER, John Leroy - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

John Leroy Bixler of Attica, age 57, died Thursday morning, March 24, in Williamsport Community Hospital. He was born at Spencer, June 15, 1925, the son of Thomas and Maggie Parish Bixler. March 8, 1948, he married Leota Ruble, who survives. He attended Spencer schools and moved to Attica about 20 years ago. He was formerly a grinder at Harrison Steel Casting Company in Attica.

   Also surviving are five daughters, Sara and Alice May, both at home, Susie Purcell of RR 4, Attica, Mary Ann McManley of Veedersburg and Barbara Jean Minnick of Wingate; four sons, Jimmie, Rick, John Jr. and Benny, all of Attica; a sister, garnet Keith of Spencer; four brothers, James, Gary and Robert, all of Spencer, and Chester of Florida; and 11 grandchildren.   Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Byron Hunt officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. – thanks to S
