Richard C. Bisner, 74, Rt. 4,
Attica, died at Home Hospital, Lafayette, at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 2,
1994. He had been in failing health for the past four years. He was born in
Pine Township, Warren County, May 6, 1920, the son of W. Raymond and Dorentta
(Shaw) Bisner. He lived in Warren County all of his life in the Rainsville/Pine
Village community. He was married Oct. 11, 1941 in Pine Village to Ruby F.
Cook, who survives. Mr. Bisner was a retired farmer. He had also driven a
school bus for Rainsville and Pine Village schools for 15 years. He worked for
the Lafayette Journal and Courier for
13 years in the maintenance department and retired in 1982. The past 5 years he
had been a meter reader for the Warren County REMC. He served as an MP in the
U. S. Army Air Corps during WW II. He was a member of the Rainsville Community
Church. He was also a member of the Warren County Farm Bureau, the American
Legion Post #259 of Williamsport and served on the board of the Rainsville
Cemetery Association. For years, he was a member of the former Odd Fellows
Club, Dufour Lodge #104 of Rainsville. Surviving, besides his wife, are: two
daughters, Mrs. Gary (Marty) Luttrell and Fran Memmer, both of Lafayette; one
son, Ronald C. Bisner of Rainsville; one brother, Lee Bisner of Tucson, Ariz.;
eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
one infant son and one brother, Kenneth. Visitation was Friday at Fisher
Funeral Home, Williamsport. Service there on Saturday with Rev. Gene Polf
officiating. Interment at Rainsville Cemetery with Military Graveside rites.
