BIRGE, Betty Whittaker - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Betty Jane Birge of Covington, age 52, died Tuesday, May 31, at her home. She was born at Hettick, Illinois, July 24, 1930, the daughter of Merrill and Enid Waddel Whittaker. November 11, 1950, she married Richard D. Birge, who survives. A former resident of Indianapolis, she was a member of the Baptist Temple there.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Deborah Judge of Frankfort and Dorothy Ann Stuart of Indianapolis; a son, Stephen D. of Lantana, Florida; her mother of Covington; and a brother, Jerry Whittaker of Covington.

  Funeral services were held Friday morning at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Dr. Gregg Curtis officiating. Burial was in Washington Park North Cemetery at Indianapolis. – thanks so much to S
