BILSLAND, Nellie Martin - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Nellie E. Bilsland of Covington, age 89, died Tuesday morning, May 31, in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville, Illinois. She was born in Vermillion County, February 29, 1894, the daughter of Samuel M. and Marintha Shute Martin. November 29, 1915, she married James Freeman Bilsland, who died January 21, 1975. Mrs. Bilsland was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Win One Class, Troy Chapter of OES and Fountain County Farm Bureau. She was a 1912 graduate of Covington High School and had also lived at Plainfield and Indianapolis.

  Survivors include four daughters, Eileen Glascock of Veedersburg, Anita Roembke of Lenexa, Kansas, Delores Jacobs of Frankfort and Kathleen Walton of Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Wayne Hoover and Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks so much to S
