DANVILLE, Ill. — Ronald Dean Billings, 65, Danville, Ill., died at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007 in Provena United Samaritan Medical Center, Danville, Ill. He was born March 17, 1941 in Wallace, the son of Helen Allen Billings Brown and the late Charles Billings. He was raised in Wallace, attending Wallace School. He formerly worked at the Fountain Foundry in Veedersburg and Harrison Steel Castings Co. in Attica. He served in the U. S. Army during Peace Time and was honorably discharged as a private first class. He enjoyed tinkering with cars. Survivors include: his mother of Danville, Ill.; a daughter, Melissa Bacon, Veedersburg; three sons, Curtis (Alana) Billings and Ryan Billings, both of Kingman, and Mark Billings, Manhattan, N.Y.; a brother, Gene (Martha) Billings, Waynetown; two step brothers, Glen (Cindy) Brown, Tilton, Ill. and Tim Brown, Danville, Ill. Burial will be held at a later date in the V.A. National Cemetery, Danville, Ill. Maus Funeral Home, Attica, is in charge of arrangements.
