L. Kenneth Billings, 68, of Sarasota, F1a., and formerly of Williamsport, died, Thursday, (Oct. 16, 1969) at his residence. Although he had been ill for some time, death was unexpected. Mr. Billings was born, June 15, 1901, at Williamsport, son of Harley D. and Lottie High Billings. He married Ester Phulin in 1949, and she survives. In the banking profession most of his life, Mr. Billings served as an Indiana bank examiner for some time, worked at the Northern Trust Co. of Chicago, and was vice-president of City National Bank of Chicago. He was last employed by Union Bank and Trust Co. of Kokomo as an assistant vice-president. Upon his retirement eight years ago, he moved to Sarasota. He was member of Elks Lodge No. 190 of Kokomo and the Indiana State Bar Association. Besides his widow, Mr. Billings is survived by two sons, Harmon D. of Sarasota and Thomas D. of Kansas City, Mo., a brother, Preston Billings of Williamsport Rt. 2 and three grandchildren. Services Monday at Crowmer and Siddens Funeral Home in Williamsport, with the Rev. Vernon Seaton officiating. Burial in West Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Sheriff's Boys Ranch, Williamsburg, Fla.
