BIDDLE - Martha Tracey

Waynetown, April 29 -- Martha Biddle, 91, Wayne Township's oldest woman, died of complications following a three weeks illness at 1 o'clock this afternoon at her home here. The deceased was born near Waynetown, June 19, 1842, the daughter of Bazil and Mary E. Pierce (*Note: her mother was Elizabeth PRICE her sister is Mary Pierce) Tracy and was married June 18, 1863 to John P. Biddle. Mr. Biddle died March 5, 1918. Mrs. Biddle lived in this community her entire lifetime and for the past 29 years had lived in Waynetown. She was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary E. West of Waynetown; Mrs. Rosella Livers of near Waynetown and Mrs. Eva Willoughby of Indianapolis; a son, William O. Biddle of Darlington; 12 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Last rites will be conducted at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist Church here in charge of Rev. I.C. Overman. Burial will be made at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
