BEVER, Mary Catherine
Source: Covington Friend 19 March 1915 p 4
A message has been received from relatives here stating that Mary Catherine Bever died at the Methodist Home for aged ladies in Warren, Ind Sunday evening at 5 o’clock. Her death came as a shock to her relatives and friends in this community for they were not away that she was in declining health. Miss Mary Bever, daughter of Simon and Amelia Bever was born 73 years ago on the farm just east of here now owned by George Parker and spent her entire life in Cain Township with the exception of a few months. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a half brother and the nearest relatives who survive the deceased as a nephew, Hyson Myer residing on a farm near here and a niece, Mrs. Stella Simmerman of Covington. She resided alone at her home on Market Street for a number of years and owing to her advance years, broke up housekeeping about five months ago and entered the aged ladies’ home where she died. No word has been received as to the funeral arrangements but it is thought that the interment will be made at Warren in keeping with a request of the deceased. --- kbz
