Hillsboro Aug 21, 1946 is hand written -- Henry C. Bever, 75, who was a farmer all his life, died at his home near here Wednesday morning after an extended illness. He had been seriously ill several weeks and death was the result of a heart ailment. Mr. Bever was born July 20, 1871 near Hillsboro and was the son of Levi and Elizabeth Harding Bever. His parents were a pioneer family in Cain Township, having settled there in 1825, after leaving Pennsylvania. The deceased was married to Marie Effie Leonard on January 14, 1907. He was a member of the Hillsboro Methodist Church . Surviving, besides his widow are two sons: Russell Bever and Hardy Bever at home; four daughters, Mrs. Earl Williams of Tuscola, Ill; Mrs. John House of Hillsboro; Mrs. Dwight Birch of Crawfordsville and Miss Martha Bever at home; 3 brothers, Albert Bever and Levi Bever, Jr. of Hillsboro; and John Bever of Ridgefarm Ill and 3 sisters, RMs. EG Bounnel of Hillsboro. Mrs. Phoebe Clodfelter of Oklahoma CIty, OKl and Mrs. Elle Neal of Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Hillsboro Methodist Church with Rev. John Kirkpatrick of Indianapolis in charge. Friends may call at the family residence Thursday afternoon. Burial in the Rockfield cemetery near Veedersburg.
