BEVER, Charles - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Charles Bever, 100, of Covington, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept 5, 1995 at Covington Man Health Care Center where he had resided the past 14 years. He was a resident of Stringtown for 40 years and Fountain County most of his life. Mr. Bever was a carpenter and farm laborer having been employed at Coffing Bros. Orchard many years before retiring. He attended Stringtown Church of God. Mr. Bever was born September 20, 1894, south of Hillsboro the son of Albert & Flora (Deere) Bever. He married Alemena Crowder Aug 24, 1944 and she preceded him in death May 2, 1982. He is survived by two half sisters, Mary E. Allen of Covington and Ruth Bever of Veedersburg; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers one half sister, one stepbrother and three stepsisters. Visitation noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Shelby Funeral Home, Covingotn, prior to service with Paul Kent officiating. Interment at Mt. Hope.
