Attica—Alma E. Bever, 70, 1103 Avenue 4, Attica, died at 4:40 p.m. Monday, June 12, 1989, at her home. She had been ill the past four years.
She was born Aug. 12, 1918 in Attica, the daughter of Ollie and Laura Waymire Bunch. She was married March 30, 1935 in Attica to Chester H. Bever, who survives.
She attended Attica schools and was a life resident of this area. She was formerly employed at Purdue University as a cook and also had been a clerk at Skinner’s Bakery in Attica.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Attica and Upper Level Senior Citizens.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Leland (Esther) Terrell, Attica, and Mrs. Donald (Naomi) Egbert, Belleville, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Dale Simmerman, Lafayette, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Attica Nazarene Church with the Rev. James Morris officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
Visitation was 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at Maus Funeral Home, Attica, and one hour prior to services at the church. - s
