BEST, James Elwood - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Waynetown March 7 - James Elwood Best, 77, former resident of Waynetown died at his home at 1010 S. 22nd Street, Lafayette on Sunday morning at 6:30 o'clock.  Mr. Best was born at Attica July 22, 1860 and married Mary SE Armantrout of Waynetown Jan 4, 1891. He was a member of the Lafayette Christian Church. Surviving are the wife; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Burk of New Albany and a nephew, William E. Best of Lafayette who was reared by the Bests. Funeral services will be conducted from teh family residence at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. GP Burdon officiating. Burial will be in the Waynetown cemetery at 3 p.m.  The casket will be opened at the cemetery
