Wallace — Funeral services for Mrs. Lona Lee Keller Bess, age 82, who died Monday night, July 22, in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Rev. Grover DeNeal officiated and burial was in the Wallace Lutheran Cemetery. Mrs. Bess, who was hospitalized about two weeks, was born Oct. 3, 1885 in Jackson Township, Fountain County, the daughter of Wash and Laura Hamm Keller. She was reared and educated in Wallace and was a member of the Wallace Christian Church. She married Chriss Bess on March 6, 1918, in Covington, and he survives. Surviving in addition to the husband, are: one daughter, Mrs. Wandeline Sowers, and two grandchildren, Mrs. Darla Ellingwood and Obert Sowers, of Wallace, and two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Clouse Lines and Mrs. Ura Evans of Crawfordsville, She was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and a grandson.
