BENNETT, Floyd J. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Floyd J. Bennett, 64, Rt 4, Danville, Ill died at 12:10 p.m. Thursday Dec 4 at Lakeview Medical Center. He was born July 20, 1922, in Rockville, son of Freeman J. and Ovilla Delp Bennett. He married Rose Arnold April 22, 1945, in Terre Haute. She survives. He retired as a foreman at Esco Corp where he worked for 23 years. He retired in 1973. After that, he was a custodian at Westville, Ill Jr. High School. He was a member of Cedar Grove Nazarene Church. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Robert and Fred, both of Danville; two daughters, Mrs. William (Sharon) Hooks, Danville; Mrs. Ralph (Tammy) Lowe, Danville; a brother, Donald, Attica; a sister, Vina Mae Eller, Attica; a grandson, 7 granddaughters and a great grandson. He was preceded in death by by his parents and a sister. Funeral services held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Don Williams officiating. Entombment at Sunset Memorial Park.
