BENEFIELD, Henry - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro - Harry Benefield, 72, retired farmer, died suddenly at his home in Hillsboro at 3 p.m. Thursday. He and his wife had walked home from a restaurant where she works and he died shortly after reaching home. The county coroner investigated but has not yet returned a verdict as to the cause of death. He was born in Indiana on April 27, 1882, the son of John and Rebecca Benefield. He married Gertrude Overman on April 19, 1903. He was a member of the New Liberty Christian Church. Survivors include the widow; a son, Walter of near Hillsboro; a brother, Frank, of Coffeyville, Kan.; a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
