BENDER, Margaret Lawson - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Margaret C. Bender of Fairmount, Illinois, age 58, died Monday afternoon, August 15, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born at Johnsonville, June 3, 1925, the daughter of John W. and Winifred Lake Lawson. August 12, 1944, she married Thomas C. Bender, who survives. Mrs. Bender was a member of the Church of Christ at Catlin, Illinois, and Christian Home Donors.

  Also surviving are four daughters, Marie N. Moeller of Park Forest, Illinois, Karen J. Nagel of Veedersburg, Ann Blue of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Nadine Worstell of Danville, Illinois; a son, Richard C. of East Peoria, Illinois; a sister, Anita Gertz of Indianapolis; two brothers, Jack Lawson of Williamsport and James C. Lawson of West Lebanon; a half sister, Mildred Powell of Palestine, Illinois; a half brother, Wilbur Lawson of Florida; and four grandchildren.

  The body was taken from Johnson-Lakeside Chapel in Oakwood, Illinois, to the Catlin Church of Christ for funeral services this morning with Rev. Frank Bush officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park at Danville. – s-
