NEWTOWN — Walter C. Bell, 89,
3048 E. 800 N., Wingate, died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2006 in Regency
Place, Lafayette. He was born March 22, 1917 in Richland Township, Fountain
County, the son of W. Lynn and Christel (Crawford) Bell. He married Ivadean C.
Swanson June 21, 1941 in Attica. She preceded in death May 22, 1987. He was a
life resident of Richland Township, where he farmed all of his life. He
graduated from Newtown High School. He was a member of the Newtown Community
Church. Survivors include: two sons, David Lynn (Kristy) Bell, Greensburg and
W. Reid (Rhonda) Bell, Newtown; four grandchildren, Richard (Sumalee) Bell,
Julie (Mike) Barden, Bryan (Traci) Bell and Brad Bell; and two
great-grandchildren, Emily Barden and Carter Bell. He was preceded in death by
his parents and a sister, Twyla June Lupton. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m.
tonight (Wednesday) in Maus Funeral Home, Attica. Services will be held at
10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Parks officiating.
Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the
