Newtown--W. Lynn Bell, 66, retired farmer and lifelong resident of this community, died at 12:30 p. m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where he had been a patient three weeks. He had been in failing health for the past year. Born near here Jan. 2, 1894, he was a son of Alexander and Emma Nuss Bell. He was a 1912 graduate of Newtown High School and was wed Dec. 29, 1915 to Christel Crawford. After his retirement six years ago they moved into town. Mr. Bell was a member of the Methodist Church and of the Hetfield Lodge, K. of P., and Richland Lodge F&AM, of Newtown. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Twila Lupton of Anderson; a son, Walter Bell of near Newtown, and six grandchildren. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro, where rites are set for 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. George Baldwin the minister. Burial will be in the Newtown Cemetery.
