NEWTOWN — Mrs. Ruby C. Bell, 84, of Newtown, a native of near Covington, died Friday evening at her home. Mrs. Bell was a member of Newtown United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, North Richland Extension Homemakers Club, a 50-year member of OES, and a former charter member of Fountain County chorus. She attended McCarty School near Covington. She was born Jan. 23, 1890, a daughter of Mose and Buelah Denton Clawson. She married Orson Bell on Dec. 19, 1917, at Covington. Surviving with the husband is a sister, Mrs. Ruth Stevens of Veedersburg. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro with the Rev. Donald Watson officiating. Burial will be in Newtown Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Newtown, Ind.—Mrs. Ruby C. Bell, 84, of Newtown, died Friday (June 14, 1974) at her home.
She was born Jan. 23, 1890 near Covington to Mosz and Beulah Denton Clawson. She was married on Dec. 19, 1917 to Orson Bell, who survives.
She attended McCarthy School near Covington. She was a member of Newtown United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Newtown Order of Eastern Star Chapter 282 and was a member of the North Richland Home Economic Club.
Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Ruth Stephens of Veedersburg.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with the Rev. Donald Watson officiating. Burial was in the Newtown Cemetery.
