Hillsboro - Mrs. Oveta Elmira Bell, 60, a resident of Hillsboro for 30 years, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday in her home. She had been bedfast since Dec. 1. She was born Sept. 8, 1902, in Kirkpatrick and her parents were Edward and Minnie Rivers Suiters. On April 19, 1924 she married Leslie Bell in Covington. She was a member of the Hillsboro Methodist Church and was a graduate of Waynetown High School and Indiana Normal in Danville. She taught at the Yountsville School. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Harshbarger of Hillsboro and Mrs. Katie Jones of Wingate; two sons, Robert and Donnie of Hillsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Maurice Groom of Princeton, N. J., and Mrs. Clara Mae Grimes of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Floyd Suiters and Everett Suiters of Crawfordsville, and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Hillsboro Methodist Church with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine assisted by Rev. Charles Sites. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state for an hour at the church before the services. Friends may call at the family home. The Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown will be in charge of the arrangements.

Hillsboro-- Funeral services for Mrs. Ovetta Elmira Bell, who died at her home in Hillsboro on New Year’s Eve, were held at the Hillsboro Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon. The church service was preceded by a service held at the home for the family, conducted by Rev. Guy E. Tremain of Waynetown, who also officiated at the afternoon service, assisted by the local pastor, Rev. Charles Sites. Organ music was by Mrs. Mildred Jahnke. Serving as pallbearers were Tom Felix, Ben Mitman, Raymond Eitnier, Emery Gray, Karl Jahnke, Donald Harshbarger and Paul Balmer. The flower bearers were nieces and nephews of the deceased. They were Mr. and Mrs. Max Suiters, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Howden, Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Suiters, Mr. and Mrs. Errett Suiters, Mr. and Mrs. James Shaver, Mr. and Mrs. James Teague and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Deckard, assisted by members of the WWU Class of the Methodist Sunday School. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro.

Hillsboro - Mrs. Oveta Almira Bell, age 60, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at her home here following an extended illness. She was born Sept. 8, 1902, at Kirkpatrick, Ind., the daughter of Edward and Minnie Rivers Suiters. She was married April 19, 1924 in Covington to Leslie Bell, who survives. Mrs. Bell had resided most of her life in Fountain County and for the past 30 years in Hillsboro. She graduated from Hillsboro High School and Danville, Ind., State Normal. She taught; at Yountsville. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are: two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Hershbarger of Hillsboro and Mrs. Katie Jones of Wingate; two sons, Robert and Donnie, both of Hillsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Maurine Groom of Princeton and Mrs. Clara Mae Grimes of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Floyd and Everett, both of Crawfordsville; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Eileen Lighty, in 1960. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon, Jan. 2, at the Hillsboro Methodist Church. The Rev. Guy E. Tremaine, assisted by the Rev. Charles Sites, officiated. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery here.
