BELL, Joseph Jesse - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Joseph "Joe" Jesse Bell, 82, Colfax (Oct 30, 1916 - April 30, 1999) died Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. Mr. Bell was a retired farm owner. His memberships include Colfax United Methodist Church, Crawfordsville Fraternal Order of Eagles, International Royal Rover Travel Club and International Union of Operating Engineers.  He was born Oct 30, 1916 near Arthur, Ill to Joseph Delbert and Anna Glorious Bell.  Mr. Bell moved to Fountain County wher ehe graduated from high school.  He married Vera Waneta Burks Dec 24, 1935. She died in 1990.  Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Linkimer, Hamilton Square, NJ; two sons, Loyal, Crawfordsville and Doyal, Colfax; 8 grandchildren and one great.  A brother and two sisters are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday in Burkhart Funeral Home, 300 S. Grant Ave with the Rev. Joe Wagner officiatnig. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Colfax United Methodist Church of St. Elizabeth Mary Margaret Program. - kbz
