Attica - Joseph Delbert BELL, 81, a retired farmer who lived in Fountain County most of his life, died at 6:05 a.m. Wednesday (Nov 29, 1961) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. He was born Dec 12, 1879 in Altamont, Ill. On March 27, 1904 he married Anna Glorious. She died in 1944. He was a retired farmer and spent years farming in the Newtown community. Before entering the hospital, he lived near Attica. He is survived by a son, Joseph J. Bell of Clark Hill and two daughters, Ruth Bell of Attica and Mrs. Maude Warner of Dalton City, Ill. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Eugene Rapson officiating. Burial will be in the Old Baptist Church Cemetery in Newtown. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Thursday
