BELL, Ira Herbert - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Ira Herbert (Herb) Bell, 73, of CMR 9, died Saturday in Culver Hospital. He was born May 6, 1891 near New Richmond, son of John and Lydia Vincent Bell. He was married April 10, 1911 to Emmer Baker. They were married at Urbana, Ill. Mr. Bell resided in Arizona, Florida and in Boone County before moving to this area 14 years ago. He operated a moving van and gravel truck. He also farmed and was last employed in road construction. Survivors include the widow’ a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Young of CMR 9; a brother, Fred of Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Lora Thayer of New Richmond; two grandsons, Donald Young of Chicago and Herbert Young of Crawfordsville; a great-grandson, Michael Young of Crawfordsville; and great-granddaughter, Miss Cheryl Young of Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by a sister. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bright Funeral Home here with Rev. Richard Baker officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the family resident from 11 a.m. Tuesday until 9 a.m. Wednesday
