BEEDLE, Rosa Haxton - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

MELLOTT -- Mrs. Rosa Haxton Beedle, 90, of Mellott, died at 5:20 a.m. today at Culver Hospital where she had been a patient since Thursday. Mrs. Beedle was a practical nurse before her retirement and had lived in and around the Mellott and Wingate area since childhood. She was a member of the Mellott Christian Church. Mrs. Beedle attended schools at Wingate. Born Jan. 1, 1882, in Missouri, she was a daughter of George W. and Sarah Twiddy Haxton. She married Ralph Beedle who preceded her in death. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Howard (Dora) Kessler of Wingate, and five nieces and nephews, Mrs. Robert Black of Danville, Ill., Dale Haxton of Lafayette, Mrs. Juanetta Clem of Alliance, Ohio, Avery Haxton of Attica and Donald Haxton of Danville, Ill. Mrs. Beedle was preceded in death by four brothers, James, Bert, William and Archie Haxton. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Walter Bartholomew officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery at Wingate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
