Waynetown - Mrs. Bessie E. Beck, 72, Waynetown, a resident of this community all her married life and member of Waynetown Christian Church died Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. Born Feb 23, 1905 she was a daughter of John W. and Etha Keeffer Hyatt. She was graduated in 1923 from Hillsboro HS. She married Paul E. Beck in 1924. He survives. Other survivors are two sons, Paul Jr. of Veedersburg and Gerald of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. James (Marianna) Slavens of Indianapolis; a brother, Harry V. Hyatt of Hillsboro; a sister, Miss Bernice Hyatt of Hillsboro; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Thomas Funeral Home here with Rev. Herbert Woolland officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
