BECHTELHEIMER, Vernon - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Vernon D. Bechtelheimer of Venice, Florida, age 80, died Wednesday, February 4, in St. Joseph Hospital at Venice. A retired mail carrier, he had lived in Florida the past 16 years. He was born at Disco, June 9, 1900, the son of Delano and Itha Doub Bechtelheimer. December 27, 1919, he married Marjorie Bouse, who survives.

  Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Betty Jan Cerulo of Bolingbrook, Illinois, Mrs. Mary Lou Smith and Mrs. Norma Lee Lyons, both of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Treva handy of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a brother, Roy of Silver Lake; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. William Ringgold officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. – thanks to S
