ATTICA — Funeral services for Gene Arthur Beavers, age 38, of 420 Main St., Attica, who died at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Community Hospital in Williamsport, were held at 2 p.m. today, March 18, at the DeSutter Funeral Home here. Mr. Beavers died shortly after admittance to the hospital and death was attributed to a heart attack. The Rev. Harry Randolph officiated and burial was in the Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Beavers was born March 26, 1931, in Attica, the son of Bert and Gladys Yaley Beavers. He was married March 9, 1957, in Williamsport to Earlene Sipes, who survives. He was a life resident of Attica and had been manager of the Seaboard Loan Co. for the past 12 years. He graduated from Attica High School in 1951 and had been active in sports. A veteran of services in the Navy during the Korean War, he was a member of the American Legion Post 259. He was an associate member of the Wabash Valley.--waw
