Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Beaver, age 77, a lifetime resident of Fountain and Warren Counties, who died at 12:10 p. m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, in the Small Nursing Home at Waynetown, were held Friday afternoon at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica. The Rev. William Thompson officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Mrs. Beaver was born in Warren County Nov. 18, 1882, the daughter of John and Sarah Mitchell Smart. She was married in 1897 to William J. Beaver. She was a member of the Christian Church. She is survived by four sons, Harry and James Dr. of Lafayette, Leo of Veedersburg and Charles R. of Dyer; three daughters, Mrs. Allen Leak of Attica, Mrs. Eugene DeBruicker of Otterbein and Mrs. Richard Fell of Oxford; one sister, Mrs. Viola Stephens of Independence; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and daughter.
