Mrs. Ruby May Beasey of Attica and a native of Veedersburg died suddenly Monday evening at her home in Attica following a heart attack. Mrs. Beasy was called home from her work at Cheak’s restaurant because of the sudden illness and ultimate death of her little nephew, Wilmer Madison Hayden and the sudden shock is thought to be the cause of her death. The fire department was called with the resuscitator and worked heroically but all efforts failed. Ruby May Beasey daughter of the late Frank Hayden and Mrs. Ethel Bennett Largent was born March 4, 1906 in Veedersburg, Ind. She was married to William Beasey who preceded her in death. She was employed at Cheak’s Restaurant for a number of years. She made her home with her mother. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. John Largent; 4 daughters; Mrs. Esther Ruth Weisneiski of East Chicago, Ind; Mrs. Treslee Noble of Covington; Mrs. Norma Jean Turpin of Crawfordsville and Maine Beasey of Fort Wayne; 4 brothers, John and Wilmer of Attica; Francis of Covington and Rex of Quincy, Ind; 3 sisters Mrs. Daisy Rothrock of Attica, Mrs. Laveda Killian of Los Angeles, Calif and Mrs. Goldie Robinette of Green Hill, Ind. Funeral services were Wednesday in Attica with burial in Riverside Cemetery. – kbz
