Mrs. Maxine Beasley, 57, RR 4, Veedersburg, died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday, October 21, at st. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette.

  Born January 19, 1925 in Boswell, she was the daughter of George L. and Laura Bell Read Lamb. She married George Robert Beasley December 20, 1946 and he survives.

  A former resident of Boswell and Williamsport, she moved to the Veedersburg area in 1941. She attended Attica High School and was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Newtown.

  Survivors include a son, Duane of Muncie; four brothers, Robert L. Lamb of Lafayette; Rev. Maurice E. Lamb of Visalia, California, Paul W. Lamb of Huachuca, Arizona, and C. J. Lamb of Cissna Park, Illinois; and two sisters, Mrs. Jack Durham of Indianapolis and Mrs. Shirley A. Joyner of Clarksburg, Arkansas.

Services were conducted Monday at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Glenn Ray Sr. officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Attica. The family requested that any memorials be in the form of donations to the Fountain County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. - kbz
