STONE BLUFF — Marie (Morgan) Beasley, 98, 1713 N. 30 E., Veedersburg, died at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2006 in The Waters of Covington. She was born Oct. 13, 1907, north of Stone Bluff, in Fountain County, on a farm where she lived most of her life. She was the daughter of William Abel and Arnetta (Glascock) Morgan. She married Charles William Beasley Oct. 24, 1931 in Mellott. He preceded in death Aug. 26, 1972. She was raised in the Stone Bluff area, graduating from Veedersburg High School and later attended Indiana Business College in Lafayette. She had resided in The Waters of Covington since May of 2004. She was a member of the Sterling Christian Church and had been attending the Stone Bluff United Methodist Church. She was a bookkeeper for several years for S. H. Bylsman Plumbing and Heating Company in Lafayette. She also sold ducks and 30 dozen eggs a week to Carr Poultry Co. in Attica. Survivors include: two sons, John William (Vickie) Beasley and Charles Ed Beasley, both of rural Veedersburg; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Osborn Prairie Cemetery, west of Stone Bluff. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stone Bluff United Methodist Church. – jlr

She also sold ducks and 30 dozen eggs a week to the Carr Poultry Co. in Attica. Her memberships included Sterling Christian Church and she had been attending the Stone Bluff United Methodist Church. She was born Oct. 13, 1907, north of Stone Bluff, at Fountain County, to William Abel and Arnetta Glascock Morgan. She graduated from Veedersburg High School and later attended Indiana Business College, Lafayette. On Oc t. 24, 1931, she married Charles William Beasley at Mellott. He died Au g. 26, 1972.
