Attica March 25 – Joseph Eugene Beard, 83 of 506 Canal Street, Attica died at 4 a.m. today in Community Hospital, Williamsport, 10 hours after he suffered a heart attack.  Born in Warren County he had spent most of his life in Attica. He married Mae Myes Oct 26, 19155.  He is survived by the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Pearl Harrell, Topeka, Kan; Mrs. Violet Sheppard, Attica, Mrs. Christian Merritt, Lafayette and Mrs. Carolyn Moore, Indianapolis and a son, Alfred Bell, Attica.  

Funeral Notices – Beard, Joseph Eugene – Friends may call at the family residence, 506 Canal Street, Attica. Service at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the DeSutter Funeral Home, Attica with the body to lie in state there for one hour preceding the services. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.
