Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Lang of Waynetown returned to their home Saturday from Atlanta, GA after attending funeral services for John H. Beard. He was the son of Mrs. Lang. Also attended were Mr. and Mrs. John Harrold and sons, William and Jerry of Veedersburg, Rozella Collings and daughter, Edna, Nomia Riegle and daughter Rosalie and Julia Wantland all of Tilton Ill; Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence Land of Muncie and James Beard of Terre Haute. Mr. Beard was owner of the B&C Carpet Co in Atlanta. Surviving is the mother, the wife and two children. He was a former well known young man of the Veedersburg community. – kbz
