COVINGTON — William C. “Chris” Baumgart, 37, 10164 S. 875 W., Covington, died at 3:40 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2000 at his residence. He was born Feb. 9, 1963 in Danville, Ill., the son of John Nelson "Jack" and Sharla (Hennis) Baumgart. He was a 1981 graduate of Covington High School. He had lived in the Warren County area most of his life. He worked as a timber cutter for Fountain Timber in Kingman. He broke several horses for the Amish community in southern Indiana. His favorite pastime was watching his niece, Cobie, compete in the rodeo. He was a member of the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA). Survivors include: his mother of Covington; a sister, Collette (Brian) Ward, Covington; a niece, Cobie Ward, Covington; maternal grandmother, Geraldine Hennis, Cayuga; an uncle and aunt, Terry and Marge Hennis, Cayuga; a great aunt, Doris Stierwalt, Emminence; and several cousins. Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Fisher Funeral Home, West Lebanon, with the Rev. Grover Williams officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Danville, Ill.
