VEEDERSBURG — Rosella Belle
Batchelor, 79, Veedersburg, died at 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2000 at her
residence. She was born April 2, 1921 in Edgar County, Ill., the daughter of
William W. and Mollie A. Hackler Hale. She married Delbert I. Batchelor, Sr.,
Feb. 15, 1942 in Chrisman, Ill. He survives. Survivors, besides the husband,
include: three daughters, Alice L. Sprull, San Bernardino, Calif., Nancy Kay
Huels, Attica and Beverly I. Harrison, Kingman; a son, Delbert L. Batchelor,
Jr., Veedersburg; two sisters, Marie Bishop, Phoenix, Ariz. and Lois A.
Hildenbrand, Bedford; two brothers, Robert W. Hale, Urbana, Ill. and William C.
Hale, Oakland, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister. A memorial service
will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with
the Rev. Edwin Retter officiating. Interment will be in Cherry Point Cemetery,
Chrisman, Ill. – jlr
