Mrs. Archie Bassett, formerly Miss Lena Dermond, a Kingman resident many years ago, died at her home in Indianapolis Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ewbank and Mrs. Logan Dillon and daughter called at the funeral home in Indianapolis Sunday. – thanks so much to S&E

Mrs. Lena Marie Bassett, 65, died at her home, 1248 West Thirty-Third Street, Indianapolis.
Mrs. Bassett was born in 1882 at Kingman, the daughter of Thomas and Malinda Durman. She was a member of All Souls Unitarian Church and of the Jesse Haywood Alliance of the church. She also was a member of the Mothers Social Club and the Helen Bain Social Club. A former GAR chaplain, she also was a member and historian of Alexandrian Chapter, Federation of International Travel-Study Clubs, Inc.
Survivors include the husband, Archie G. Bassett; a daughter, Mrs. David Burton; and a son, Ellis B. Bassett, Indianapolis.
