BASINGER, Mary Stoup - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Tangier - Mrs. Mary Basinger, 87 of Rt 1, Tangier died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Ratcliff, Thursday afternoon (July 1). She was born June 19, 1884, a daughter of Oliver and Eliza Kiger Stoup. She married William Basinger April 26, 1908. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Bond and Mrs. Dorothy Francis, both of Lafayette and Mrs. Veda Ratcliff of Rt 1, Tangier; a brother, George Stoup, Sr of Kingman 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in the Memory Garden Cemetery at Rockville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Friday.
