VEEDERSBURG, Ind. (CNS) -- Estelle D. Basham, 75, of 205 Washington St., died at 1:50 p.m. Monday (March 11, 1974) at Lake View Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient for one week. Born Oct. 8, 1898, in Perry County, he was the son of Clarence and Sarah Kellums Basham. On Aug. 10, 1929, at Rockville, he married Mary Simmerman, who survives. A resident of Veedersburg since 1925, he had retired from the Nickel Plate Railroad. Mr. Basham was a member of the Veedersburg Masonic Lodge 491, Scottish Rite and Shriners, K of P Lodge of Veedersburg, Low 12 Club of Wallace, Chamber of Commerce and Lions Club. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fishero-Dickerson Funeral Home. The Rev. Alfred Dobbs will officiate. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Masonic rites will be at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home where friends will be received after 3 p.m.--waw

He was a member of Masonic Lodge 491 at Veedersburg, K of P, Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, Low 12 Club of Wallace Shrine and Scottish Rite at Terre Haute. Born Oct. 8, 1898. in Perry County, he was the son of Clarance and Sarah Kellums Basham. He was married to Mary Simmerman at Rockville. Funeral services were conducted in Fishero-Dickerson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery. --waw
