Mrs. Virginia A. Bartlow, 80, died Sunday at the Small Nursing Home in Waynetown where she had been a patient since August. She had been seriously ill for 10 days. Mrs. Bartlow was born near Corydon on June 23, 1875 the daughter of Ephraim and Susan Flock Kessner. She married Benjamin Barlow in 1891 and he preceded her in death. Following his death, she made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Dickey in Veedersburg. She was the last of a family of 9 children. Surviving are two sons, Cornelius Bartlow of Danville and Arthur Bartlow of Rossville, Ill; the daughter, Mrs. Dickey; 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Fishero Funeral Home with Rev. JB Pritchard, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren Church officiating. Burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery. – kbz

Veedersburg - Mrs. Virginia Bartlow, 80, Veedersburg died Sunday in the Small nursing home in Waynetown where she had been a patient since Aug 1954. Born near Corydon, she was married in 1891 to Benjamin Bartlow who died several years ago. She spent her married life at Milford, Ill and since the death of her husband had lived in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Dickey of Veedersburg. Surviving with the daughter are two sons, Cornelius of Danville, Ill and Arthur of Rossville.
