State Police said Paul Barth, 30, Oak Forest, Ill., was killed Saturday morning in a four-car crash on a rural Clark County road.
A state police officer had pulled over a car, a pickup truck and a semi-truck to give tickets. The officer said the three vehicles and his own car were well off the road.
A car heading southbound suddenly went out of control, and hit a pedestrian, both trucks and the car. The officer’s car was not hit.
Barth, a passenger in the southbound car, was thrown from the vehicle and killed.
Four other persons were injured in the crash, including the pedestian (pedestrian), Raymond Aaron, 40, Brinkley, Ark. The officer was not injured.
No arrests were made.
