Wayne R. Barker, 73, of Rt. 2, Veedersburg, a life resident of Fountain County and a retired farmer, died at 10:14 p.m. Sunday in St. Eliz. Hospital at Danville, Ill, where he had been a patient 10 days. he was educated in the Yeddo and Kingman schools. He was born July 26, 1905, a son of Austin P and Dora Ann Allen barker. He was married to Sylvia Duncan on June 8, 1929, at Cayuga. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Allen, Dale and George, 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wed. in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home at Covington with Pastor Max Paddock officiating. Wayne R. Barker, 73, of rural Veedersburg, died at 10:14 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 1979, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. He had been a patient 10 days.
He was a retired farmer.
A life resident of Fountain County, he attended Yeddo and Kingman schools
Born July 26, 1905, in Fountain County, he was the son of Austin P. and Dora Ann Allen Barker. On June 8, 1929, in Cayuga, he married Sylvia Duncan, who survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Allan of rural Covington, Dale of rural Veedersburg and George of rural Kingman; and 13 grandchildren.
