Source: Veedersburg News -- DIES AT SISTER'S HOME. Nelson Lee Barker, 64, formerly of Rossville, Ill., died at 6 a.m. Wednesday at the home of a sister, M s. Gladys Pedigo in Veedersburg. He had arrived here two weeks ago and w as employed as a truck driver for the DeLuxe Dry Cleanings. He had been in ill health two years. Mr. Barker was born Dec 5 1891 in Parke County, son of Jesse and Emaline Catterson Barker. He married Bessie Redenbaugh. he had resided in the Rossville, Ill., vicinity as a farmer most of is life. Surviving with his wife are 10 children, Robert, Earl and Russell all of Hoopeston, Ill., William of Rossville, Mrs. Elsie Comstock, Mrs. Evelyn Porter, both of Hoopeston, Maxine, Norma, Marjorie and Linda a ll of Rossville; two sisters, Mrs. Perigo and Mrs. Gertrude Stewart of Clinton and a brother Cecil in Rossville. Funeral services will be held at t he Christian Church in Rossville Friday afternoon with burial at Wallace, Ind with the Fishero Funeral Home in charge.
