Glenn C. Barker, 59, WWI veteran, died Wednesday morning at the Veterans Admin. Hosp, in Danville, Ill. He had been in failing health 3 years and seriously ill 3 days. born Sept. 24, 1895 at Cates, Mr. Barker was the son of Austin & Dora Allen Barker. He marr. Effie Simpkins Aug 9, 1919. He was a member of the EUB Church. Surviving are the widow, the mother, two daughter, Mrs. Thlma Wells, Veedersburg and Mrs. Velma Graves, Cates, 3 sons, Austin Barker, Attica and Harold and Robert at home, a sister, Mrs. Flossie Morgan, veedersburg and a brother, Wayne, Kingman, bur. at Bonebrake Cem. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Charles Forest American Legion Post of Veedersburg. Friends may call at the Fishero Funeral Home.
