Mrs. Dora Ann Barker celebrated her 91st birthday and received many lovely cards and gifts. She was born raised and lived near Cates, Indiana most of her life until she fell in March 1947 and fractured her hip which left her an invalid. She makes her home with either her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Morgan of Stonebluff or with her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Barker of Veedersburg Rt. 2. Sher is the mother of 9 children with only the two living. She has 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Dora Ann Barker, 95 year old life long resident of Fountain County, died at the home of a daughter, Sunday night. Mrs. Barker, who was an invalid for the past 15 years died at the home of Mrs. Glenn Morgan Rt 4, Veedersburg. She was b. in Fountain Co Nov 3, 1868. She was married to Austin Barker, who preceded her in death by 46 years She was a member of the EUB Church during her early life and later transferred her membership to the Nazarene Church at Cates. In addition to her daughter, Mrs. Barker is survived by a son, Wayne Barker of Rt 2 Veedersburg; two brothers, William Allen of Cates and Homer Allen of Punta Gorda, Fla; a sister Mrs. Margaret Renick of Covington and 9 grand and 17 greats. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wed at the Cates EUB Church with Rev Conley Roland officiating. The body will lie in state at the church an hour preceeding the services. Burial will be in Cooper's Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the Fishero Funeral Home after 2 p.m Tuesday.
