BARKER, Anne Elizabeth Sowers - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Anne Elizabeth Sowers Barker who lived near Cates, died Tuesday of last week. Mrs. Barker was born May 22, 1837. Her husband preceded her in death a number of years ago. For the past two years she has made her home with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ollie Barker. Mrs. Barker has been in poor health the past year due to old age. Funeral services were held at Cates Church Thurs. afternoon in charge of Rev. Airhart of Crawfordsville. Interment was made in Cooper Chapel Cemetery. She leaves four daughters, Mrs. Joseph Starkey of Cates; Mrs. Henry Lawson of Yeddo; Mrs. Joe Morgan of Marshall and Mrs. Eli Wagoner of Hillsboro and two son, John and Joseph B of Cates, 35 grandchildren and 57 great grandchildren.
